A South Jersey Tradition for Over 70 Years

The Pub’s story begins in the 1930s, when the building first opened as a nightclub called “Neil Deighan’s,” named after a well-known local athlete and restaurateur. In 1950, the property was purchased and transformed into The Pub, joining a small local franchise with locations across Philadelphia. By the mid-1980s, the Pennsauken location was the only one remaining—and it still thrives today.

After a devastating fire in 1960, The Pub was rebuilt with its signature Tudor design and massive open charcoal hearth, a tradition that continues to set it apart from other steakhouses. Over the decades, the menu has grown from a handful of items to a full selection of steaks, ribs, seafood, and chicken, all served with the famous salad bar.

For more than 70 years, The Pub has remained a landmark and family tradition—beloved for its warm atmosphere, quality food, and loyal guests who return generation after generation.
